Why Recognizing Kids’ Achievements Matters
At Kids Cartoon Academy, we celebrate effort and participation because they’re the foundation for long-term success in the arts. By recognizing dedication and engagement over raw talent, we motivate kids to stay creative, take risks, and grow in confidence. This approach nurtures a positive environment where every child feels inspired to develop their artistic potential.
How We Recognize Our Students
We recognize our students through several ways:
- Weekly Artist Spotlight Awards during live classes
- Student Highlights in our KCA Monthly emails and in the Community Shoutouts Channel
- Social Media Shout-Outs at random from those who share their progress/post art/give us updates in the Community
- Featured Artwork in the Intro Videos before every class selected randomly from the Community posts
Our classes are so popular which doesn't leave much room for individual airtime in a live Zoom class (the kids want to draw! not watch presentations 😄), which is why we offer the one-of-a-kind Community for Artists. It's truly a special place! For many, it's their favorite part of KCA!
In other words, we shout out kids all the time, to recognize as many as we can. You might have missed it!
How to Increase Your Chances of Being Recognized
👉 You increase your chances of being recognized by participating more.
Hear are five ways to increase your participation:

- Use their real name as their Zoom display name (helps us announce them easily).
- Raise their hand using Zoom’s "Raise Hand" feature.
- Turn their camera on during class.
- Hold up their artwork clearly to the camera when sharing.
