Alcohol markers are a professional coloring tool used by cartoonists, illustrators, and designers to create smooth blends, rich color, and realistic depth.

When is the class?
The live workshop is on Tuesday, December 30 at 2 PM ET / 7 PM UK.
Can siblings or parents join?
Yes. One registration covers the whole household.
Siblings are welcome to color along.
Parents are encouraged to join too.
Many parents tell us they didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as they did — and that our classes became a surprisingly meaningful bonding experience.
How does it work?
After you sign up, you’ll receive access to the Class Portal with:
- your Zoom link
- the printable coloring PDF
- On December 21, you’ll receive the drawing tutorial that shows how to draw the exact image used in the workshop.
On the day of class, simply log into Zoom with your drawing or printed PDF ready, and color along live.
Students can interact in the chat, raise their hand to ask questions, turn their camera on, or keep it off and focus quietly.
What if we can’t attend live?
You’ll receive replay access through January 6, so your child can rewatch and practice during that time.
Replay access remains available longer for Kids Cartoon Academy members.
Is this for beginners or advanced students?
Both.
Brand new artists under age 7 may find this class challenging, but beyond that, the workshop supports a wide range of skill levels.
Beginners learn blending, layering, and confidence.
More experienced artists refine shading, depth, and finishing touches.
We also address perfectionism and fear of “messing it up,” which helps artists at every level.
What exactly are you coloring?
A fun winter New Years scene with some exciting animal character designs.
Everyone will color the same base drawing, provided in two ways:
- a step-by-step drawing tutorial, or
- a ready-to-color printable PDF
Bring whichever you prefer to the workshop, or both for extra practice and experimentation.
My child isn’t ages 7–14. Can they still join?
If they are 15 or older, they might not enjoy the class as much when it's filled with younger students.
If they are younger than 7, the class may be too fast for them.
That's why I recommend ages 7-14.
With that said, we've had 15-year-olds join, and even very talented 6-year-olds. As long as they are under the age of 18, they are welcome to join us.
The parents and guardians of the enrolled kids are DEFINITELY encouraged to join us and draw along with their child! Parent after parent reports how they are thrilled with the unique bonding time and are surprised at how much fun they had themselves!
